Barbara Harris

WE all, including the USOT, lost a gracious and wonderful person, Barbara Marie (Mahan) Harris. She was one of the USOT’s original founders and served as Treasurer for the past ten years. Barbara died April 25th, 2013 after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband of 35 years Robert Harris, a son Robert Harris and his wife Cynthia of Uxbridge; 2 grandsons Nathan and Jack; a brother William Mahan and his wife Paula of Venice Beach, CA; a sister Linda Kitchen and her husband Robert of West Orange, NJ; 10 nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends. Born in Boston on August 9, 1950 she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Sharp) Mahan and grew up in Boston before moving to Uxbridge 35 years ago. Barbara graduated high school in Brooklyn, NY. She worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Assessors Office for the Town of Uxbridge for the past 28 years. She was also the Union Steward. Barbara had a very strong connection to her town and to the military.
